Hand grip plunge cut router bits are cutting tools used in woodworking that are mainly used for cutting hand holds in the center of the project or the front edge of stair treads. For CNC work, the plunge point allows for penetration into the center of the work piece. Plunge cuts into material with use of hand router or router table is not recommended.
